FINA World Championships Budapest 2022

Anyone who has had the opportunity to take part in a large aquatics sport event already knows what experience, challenges and adventures volunteering at a world aquatics championships have. And those of you who do not know yet, here's your chance too!

This time, instead of several years of preparation, the organizers have only a few months to host the best swimmers, water polo players, divers and synchronized swimmers in the world. 

Join the volunteer team in Budapest, Szeged, Sopron or Debrecen and be a part of the 19th FINA World Championships in 2022!

Date: June 18 - July 3, 2022

Venues: 
Swimming and Diving - Budapest (Duna Arena)
Water polo - Budapest (Hajós Alfréd National Sports Swimming Pool), Debrecen, Szeged, Sopron
Open water swimming - Lupa Beach
Synchronized swimming - Budapest (Tamás Széchy Swimming Pool)

Volunteer shifts: Depending on the position, it is expected to start on June 10th, but most volunteers are required on competition days.

The organizers provide clothes and meals for the volunteers.

Application process:

Read the OFFICIAL PROGRAM of the event and fill in the application form with all the necessary information!

APPLY ONLY IF YOU CAN BE AVAILABLE FOR THE ENTIRE TIME OF YOUR CHOSEN SPORT! 
The only exception is water polo where we count on you either during the whole group stage (for example in Debrecen) or in Szeged and Budapest for at least 8 days!

Steps:

 1. Fill in your profile
If you are already a registered member, check the accuracy of your information on your profile. If you have not registered yet, please upload your profile accurately.


 2. Upload a photo
The photo is required in order for your accreditation card, which is an identification card containing data authorizing you to enter the event and move between the venues.

Please note that failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in your application NOT being processed.


 3. Apply for the event
If you have already filled in the form and uploaded the photo, you can apply for the event. Here you can specify when and where you would like to join the volunteer team.

Determine the SPORT, THE CITY and WHEN the organizers can count on you. If you can join the team, your schedule will be based on this, which you will receive in a later email.

IMPORTANT! When uploading dates, keep in mind that most volunteers are required on competition days.

The information you provide for the organizing committee is for informational purposes only. Differences and changes in your schedule may occur, please handle this flexibly!

You are able to do your school internship with us!

The application deadline is May 29, 2022 at 11:59 PM

Applications will be judged on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please think carefully about your application, because this time it is even more true that the changes will make the work of the organizers and other volunteers more difficult.

If it turns out that you are unable to attend the event, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can replace you and give another volunteer a chance.
